Positive Design: Getting to know Joolz, Geo and the new Essentials line

This is the Joolz Geo 600D in gorgeous parrot blue. It’s a beautiful stroller and the perfect companion for family adventures.

Joolz is a young Dutch company (founded in 2004), which develops and manufactures strollers that are designed around the human body. Their products are well equipped and comfortable for both parent and child and it’s clear in every design, in the tone of their website, in the way they communicate with customers that they want to contribute to a positive life, from pregnancy to the first day at school. They call this Positive Design. Isn’t that awesome?

The Joolz Geo 600D is an award-winning, ergonomically designed pushchair, designed to be adapted into any one of five different configurations, ready to face whatever challenges family life brings.

In its Mono configuration (£799), as shown here, it’s perfect for new parents and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a spacious shopping basket – it’s huge!

The hood pulls down nice and low (handy if you want them to take a nap somewhere bright and busy) with a zip back ventilation panel that would be great in summer.

Should a second baby join the family, the Mono can become a Duo by adding a second seat (£999 for the full system, or £300 for the seat) underneath the upper one.

There’s even a solution for newborn twins. The Twin configuration (£1,099 for the full system) offers two lie-flat cots, yet the buggy still only measures 60cm wide, so it remains manoeuvrable through narrow paths and doors.

I had the pleasure of testing out the Joolz Geo during a press event earlier this month, where I also showcased how to make three simple, healthy dishes, inspired by classic breakfasts from around the world.

You can learn how to make my overnight bircher, 10 minute savoury breakfast muffins and sweet breakfast couscous over in the recipes section of the blog now.

Joolz also launched their Nursery Essentials line at the event, a range of five natural products: a swaddle, a mattress cover, a sheet, a nest and a blanket.

They’re all designed to work smartly with the Joolz range. For example, it’s possible to fit the Joolz carseat harness safely and securely around baby even when they are in the nest. And everything in the range is made from organic cotton, which is better for baby’s skin and the environment, and certified with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) meaning they meet a high level of environmental and social criteria along the supply chain.

I love the blankets and nest especially, which come in a choice of five colours (anthracite, blue, pink, mint or off-white). They have this gorgeous honeycomb pattern on the outside, and a fine, soft breathable jersey material on the inside (the same material the swaddle, cover and sheets are made from).

The whole range looks stylish, I love the muted colours and they feel so soft and cosy.

If you’re not already familiar with Joolz, do check them out and perhaps follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep up-to-date with this gorgeous range.

This is a commissioned post for Jooz.
